Janesvara Dasa was born in 1954 in Stockholm. He joined ISKCON in springtime 1978 at Korsnäs gard, Sweden, and got initiated the same year. He started his spiritual journey as a pot washer and continued to serve as a temple president, temple commander, fund-raiser, and book distributor in Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. He got married and settled in Almviks Gard in Sweden where he served as a teacher and headmaster of a gurukula till 2002 and later on in a state school till 2019. In 2009, he was accepted as a member of the Euro RGB overseeing the different aspects of Krishna consciousness in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. Since 2019, he is Euro RGB Regional Secretary for Almvik/New Caitanya Candrodaya Mandir and Korsnäs/New Radhakunda. Since 1994 he has been a member of the Almviks Gard Board, Sweden, where he is presently living with his wife and daughter.
